MARRIOTT BONVOY EVENTS

MEETING PLANNERS:

Marriott Bonvoy Events is a program which rewards eligible Marriott Bonvoy members who host qualifying business and/or social meetings and events at participating hotels worldwide. Such members earn Marriott Bonvoy points or miles and Elite Night Credits on qualifying events – in addition to everything they earn on their personal stays. Benefits associated with Marriott Bonvoy Events are provided solely by Marriott and are subject to Marriott Bonvoy T&C.

Yes, as of April 22, 2025, meeting planners, who are eligible Marriott Bonvoy members, may earn Marriott Bonvoy points for qualifying meetings and events booked and held at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy destinations including Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, MGM Collection, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Bellagio, a Luxury Collection Resort & Casino, ARIA Resort & Casino, Autograph Collection; W Las Vegas; and Park MGM Las Vegas, a Tribute Portfolio Resort. Marriott Bonvoy benefits can be earned through all MGM Resorts group booking channels.

Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credits can be earned by eligible Marriott Bonvoy members for qualifying group meetings and events which are newly contracted for on or after April 22, 2025, through all MGM Resorts group booking channels. The name of the eligible Marriott Bonvoy member to earn points must be listed on the first page of the contract as the main contact or be the authorized signer of the contract. Points and Elite Night Credits may be split between two eligible Marriott Bonvoy members if both are recorded in the contract.

Yes, through Marriott Bonvoy Events, eligible members earn two (2) points for every one US dollar (US$1) spent on actualized qualifying revenue, up to a maximum of 60,000 points as the base earning, not including special promotions or incentives, per qualifying event. Eligible Elite members earn a percentage bonus on their base earnings for qualifying events, depending on their Elite tier. Combined earned and bonus points may never exceed 200,000 points per qualifying event. If the eligible member elects to earn miles on the signed contract, they will earn one (1) mile for every one US dollar (US$1) spent on actualized qualifying revenue up to a maximum of 20,000 miles (or equivalent currency, depending on the participating airline frequent flyer program partner), regardless of Elite tier per qualifying event. There is no Elite bonus on miles.

Yes, through Marriott Bonvoy Events, eligible members who hold qualifying events at MGM Collection by Marriott Bonvoy destinations receive one (1) Elite Night Credit for every twenty (20) room nights booked and actualized, up to a maximum of twenty (20) Elite Night Credits per contract.

Qualifying revenue for Marriott Bonvoy Events includes food, beverages, meeting room rental, in-house audiovisual equipment, and décor ordered by the MGM Collection by Marriott Bonvoy destination and paid for on a master account. Guest room rate charges qualify only when the contract has a minimum of ten (10) guest rooms actualized for at least one (1) night of the qualifying event (with or without catering). Qualified guest room charges earn Marriott Bonvoy points for the eligible Marriott Bonvoy member through Marriott Bonvoy Events, whether they are paid for on a master account or paid for by the individual group attendee guest in the room.

Nonqualifying revenue for Marriott Bonvoy Events includes taxes, service charges, resort fees, gratuities, attrition charges, cancellation fees, and third-party charges for items ordered by the MGM Collection by Marriott Bonvoy destination and billed directly to the third party, as well as other revenue not expressly identified as being qualifying revenue.

No, qualifying revenue for Marriott Bonvoy Events does not count towards the Ambassador Annual Qualifying Spend requirement. Only Qualifying Charges on Qualifying Stays at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy destinations count towards the Annual Qualifying Spend requirement for achieving Ambassador Elite status.

Yes, eligible catering-only events can be qualifying events.

No, events that were contracted before April 22, 2025 are not eligible for earning through Marriott Bonvoy Events. Earnings are available only for qualifying events, including future, new bookings made at the meeting planner’s request. Marriott Bonvoy points or miles and Elite Night Credits will be awarded at least 10 days after the event's actualization.

Attendees of a qualifying event who are Marriott Bonvoy members staying at the MGM Collection by Marriott Bonvoy destination may earn points and Elite Night Credit if they pay the hotel directly for all of their guest room charges. Attendees will not earn Marriott Bonvoy points or receive Elite Night Credit for guest rooms billed to the master account, even if they incur qualifying incidental charges on their guest room bill. Earn for attendees follows the earn policies under the Marriott Bonvoy Program and is separate from the earn under Marriott Bonvoy Events. (See the Earning↗ section for more information).

No. Meeting planners must decide between earning with the Marriott Bonvoy Events program or the MGM Resorts Meeting Planner program for each event.

Meeting planners may continue to earn MGM Resorts Meeting Rewards until June 1, 2025, and redeem rewards until September 1, 2025. MGM Meeting Rewards points not used by September 1, 2025 will not transfer to Marriott Bonvoy points.

Marriott Bonvoy points earned through Marriott Bonvoy Events follow the Marriott Bonvoy program policy for points expiration. Members must remain active in Marriott Bonvoy to retain the points they accumulate. If a member account is inactive for twenty-four (24) consecutive months, that member account will forfeit all accumulated points.

Points cannot be converted to cash. Members are invited to use the Marriott Bonvoy Events Points Calculator at https://www.marriottbonvoyevents.com/calculator.↗

Points earned through Marriott Bonvoy Events can be redeemed for options available to all Marriott Bonvoy members, including free nights, flights, and experiences, and more. Click here for more information.

GROUP ATTENDEES:

Individual group attendees are eligible to earn Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credit, and to receive their Marriott Bonvoy program tier benefits for stays starting on or after April 22, 2025, if the guest room was booked at a group rate as part of an event, meeting, conference, or organized tour, and the member directly pays MGM Resorts for such room and all charges on their guest room bill. Attendees will not earn points or receive Elite Night Credit for guest rooms billed to the master account, even if they incur qualifying incidental charges on their guest room bill. See Earning↗ section for more information on Qualifying Stays and Qualifying Charges.

If the member does not pay MGM Resorts directly for such room (i.e. attendee room is billed to the master account of a qualifying event), then the stay is not considered a Qualifying Stay and is not eligible to earn Marriott Bonvoy points or Elite Night Credits, or to receive MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy tier benefits during such stay. If the group attendee’s room is master billed, they do not earn points even if they incur qualifying incidental charges on their guest room bill.

If the reservation is a combination of direct pay nights and master billed nights to a qualifying event, then earning Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credit, and receiving MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy program tier benefits is only eligible on the nights the member pays MGM Resorts directly for the room rate. For example, if the member directly pays MGM Resorts the room rate for the first night and the second night the room rate is charged to a master account, the member would earn Marriott Bonvoy points, Elite Night Credit, and receive tier benefits on the first day of the stay and not earn Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credit, nor receive tier benefits on the second day of the stay.

Marriott Bonvoy members receive unique benefits based on their Marriott Bonvoy membership level on Qualifying Stays (see the Earning↗ section for more Qualifying Stay information and see Benefits section for more tier benefit information) at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy destinations.

Marriott Bonvoy members earn 10 Marriott Bonvoy points per $1.00 USD spent on Qualifying Charges (see the Earning↗ section for more Qualifying Charges information) on Qualifying Stays at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy destinations.

Marriott Bonvoy members who book a Qualifying Stay earn Marriott Bonvoy points on Qualifying Charges listed in the Earning↗ section of this FAQ. Marriott Bonvoy members who join MGM Rewards can also earn MGM Rewards Tier Credits and Points on eligible folio charges per the MGM Rewards Program Rules like Food & Beverage, Spa, Salon, Entertainment, and more.
