Winemaker for the Day in Santa Barbara, California | The Ritz-Carlton

Santa Barbara, California

Step beyond the cellar door and into an exceptionally rare winemaking experience, hosted at the private Los Olivos estate of the McKinney family. In partnership with McKinney Family Vineyards and seamlessly curated by Coastal Concierge, this immersive journey offers privileged access to the art and science of bespoke wine creation. Guests will work one‑on‑one with the McKinney winemaking team to craft a custom red or white blend that reflects their individual palate and preferences. Unlike traditional blending experiences, this program includes the purchase of a half or full barrel, placed into production exclusively for the guest. Over a three to four month period, the wine is produced and bottled, each bottle finished with a completely custom label designed in collaboration with the McKinney design team. The experience includes a private, winemaker‑led blending session, estate tour, curated tastings, luxury round‑trip transportation, and thoughtful keepsakes that memorialize the day. From hands‑on blending iterations to a signed note from the winemaker and a framed photograph capturing the moment, every detail is designed to create a lasting legacy—one that can be enjoyed long after the final bottle is opened.
