American Judicature Society (AJS) National Conference Event Date: November 22-25, 2020
The American Judicature Society is pleased to announce that its National Convention will be held in Hono-lulu, Hawai‘i, at the Sheraton Waikiki on November 22–25, 2020! Through its growing membership net-work of judges, attorneys, academics, dedicated staff and researchers, educators, and community leaders, AJS has served since 1913 as an independent, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting the in-tegrity of the American justice system. Our 2020 Convention theme—“Judicial Independence in the Age of Political Polarization”—is in-spired by recent developments impacting the system of American justice across the country, including trends in judicial independence and the influence of politics, judicial selection and retention, judicial elec-tions and the role of campaign fundraising, diversity in the courts, judicial conduct and ethics, judicial ac-countability, and public confidence in the courts.
