Last revised: April 2026
Thanks for taking the time to read our Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms explain your rights and responsibilities when you use websites, apps, social media pages, and related functionality and features that (i) we own or control and (ii) from which these Terms are accessible (together, the “Services”). If you use the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
For your convenience, here are key points:

- We may update these Terms; for material changes we will give reasonable notice.
- Age: you must be 18 or older. If under 18, a parent or guardian must use the Services for you.
- The terms and conditions associated with specific transactions (e.g., hotel booking cancellation and fee policies) that are displayed through the Services are included in these Terms.
- In the United States, most disputes are resolved by individual arbitration (not class actions).
- Privacy: see our Global Privacy Statement for how we collect and use personal data.
Most of our Services are controlled and operated from the United States and are subject to United States law. This does not prejudice or limit any rights you may have under any applicable laws in your country of residence that cannot be changed by contract.

G. Marriott Advanced Search

You are responsible for all activities conducted by you (a) to access Advanced Search or (b) because of accessing Advanced Search. To use Advanced Search, you will submit a question or request for information (a “Prompt”). Advanced Search uses AI tools and functionalities to generate outputs based on your Prompt (“Response”).
Responsibilities:
In connection with Advanced Search, or any other interactive AI services on the sites:
- You are responsible for all Prompts you submit.
- By submitting Prompts, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for us to process your Prompts.

Reliance on Outputs:
AI and large language models are evolving technologies. When using Advanced Search, or any other interactive AI services on the sites, you acknowledge and agree that:

With respect to reservations at Properties, Marriott operates the Services as a reservation platform. The Service that Marriott provides is the display of Marriott Information and the transmission of reservation requests and guest information to the relevant Property. The Property is solely responsible for accepting, honoring, and fulfilling the reservation, including by providing the accommodation.
In addition to the other terms and conditions specified on the Services regarding our Properties (for example, Property policies presented during booking), the following general terms and conditions apply to Property reservations booked on the Services:
A. Services Variability; Room Availability
Our Services contain information on Marriott, Property, and third-party provider products and services, and not all product and services are available everywhere. If you see something on one of our Services, that exact product or service may not be available in your location. Photos are for inspiration and may differ from the actual facilities and features of the guest room that you receive through our Services.
While Marriott and Properties strive to honor room preferences and reservations in accordance with the information shown on the Services, a confirmed reservation represents the Property’s acceptance of a request transmitted through the Services, not a guarantee by Marriott that accommodations will be provided. There may be times that a Property is unable to fulfill a confirmed reservation (e.g., if more reservations have been booked than there are rooms available at the Property). If that happens, the Property will help you explore alternative options but may deny accommodation to guests with confirmed reservations. Any issues relating to the accommodation should be addressed with the Property in accordance with its policies and applicable law.
Marriott and Properties have the right to cancel reservations whenever such action is necessary or advisable for reasons beyond Marriott or the Property’s control, such as government order, weather, acts of God, strikes, epidemics, civil unrest, war, or other similar matters of force majeure.
Except as provided (i) in rate plan or cancellation policies displayed through the Services, (ii) in Property policies, or (iii) for Loyalty Members under our Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions (Section 4.3, Ultimate Reservation Guarantee), Marriott and Properties are not responsible for any costs, losses, or damages arising from a Property’s cancellation of a reservation or inability to fulfill a reservation booked through the Services.
B. Cancellation; No-shows; Reservation changes
Policies – including cancellation, no-show, and reservation change policies and other information about specific room reservations and properties — may vary by Property and by reservation type. Applicable policies and charges are displayed during booking or otherwise provided by the applicable Property.
C. Travel Destinations
Travel may involve risk. Please review travel advisories issued by applicable government authorities (such as the U.S. Department of State, TSA, DOT, FAA, CDC, OFAC, and Customs) before booking. We do not represent that travel to any destination offered by the Services is advisable or without risk and are not liable for damages that may result.
D. Currency; Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program Benefits
For Properties outside the United States, rates confirmed in U.S. dollars may be converted to local currency by the Property at the time of stay and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Your bank or card issue may also apply additional currency conversions, which are not within Marriott’s or Properties’ control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card.
Loyalty Program Members may use the Services to earn or redeem points and other benefits, subject to the Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions.
E. Destination and Resort Fees
Some Properties may charge a daily destination or resort fee (“Destination Fee” or “Resort Fee”) in addition to the room rate. If applicable, Destination Fees and Resort Fees are mandatory and must be paid to the Property at your time of stay.
Destination Fees and Resort Fees cannot be paid using Loyalty Program points and must be paid in local currency. We will disclose any Destination or Resort Fees during booking, before you complete your reservation.
F. Group Bookings
For reservations involving groups, by an agency, on behalf of others, or involving 10 or more rooms at the same Property for the same period of stay, please see our Group Bookings Tool.
A. Intellectual Property
The Services may contain or reference trademarks, patents, copyrighted materials, trade secrets, technologies, products, processes or other proprietary rights of Marriott and/or others.
No license to, or right in, any such trademarks, patents, copyrighted materials, trade secrets, technologies, products, processes and other proprietary rights of Marriott and/or other parties is granted to or conferred upon you other than a right to review such content using a conventional browser to conduct ordinary browsing.
You may use content on the Services for your personal, non-commercial use (or the legitimate activities of a travel agent or travel professional). Any other use requires our written permission. Except for non-commercial individual private use, downloading, reproduction, or retransmission of the Services (or any part of its content) is strictly prohibited.
B. User Content
When you share content with us through our Services—whether via email, posts, automated or AI-powered chat features, or any other method, including reviews, photos, videos, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, or similar material (collectively referred to as "User Content"), you:
- Represent that your User Content is your own original creation and that you possess all necessary rights to permit us to use it as outlined in these Terms.
- Grant us and our Partners, to the extent allowed by applicable law, a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, create derivative works from, and publicly display and perform your User Content worldwide across any media, whether existing now or developed in the future.
- Agree that Marriott and our Partners may use the name you provide with your User Content to attribute it (e.g., displaying your first name and location on a review) at our discretion.
- Understand that if you use our automated chat functionalities or AI-powered chat technologies, you consent to Marriott and our third-party service providers monitoring, recording, and/or retaining the User Content you submit for quality and training purposes.
- Authorize us to pursue legal action against any individual or entity that infringes on your rights or our rights regarding your User Content.
- Acknowledge that User Content is not confidential or proprietary.
- Where the law allows, agree to waive any 'moral rights' you might have in your User Content (such as rights of attribution or integrity), and consent to the publication, use, modification, removal, or exploitation of your User Content by Marriott, our Partners, or our other licensees without objection.
- Agree not to submit any content that is offensive or unlawful; infringes privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights, or is commercial advertising; or is otherwise prohibited by these Terms.
- Agree that we may exercise our rights concerning User Content (e.g., use, publish, delete) without prior notice.
- Agree that if you submit multiple reviews for the same property, we may use only your most recent submission.
We do not claim ownership of, endorse, or affiliate with any User Content submitted by you.

D. Hotel Reviews
We encourage users to leave post-stay reviews of hotel properties. All such reviews are subject to our hotel review guidelines, including the Customer Reviews Terms of Use at Verified Guest Reviews | Marriott Bonvoy. For more information, please visit How Do I Submit a Hotel Review? Once such reviews become inapplicable, outdated, or obsolete (e.g., after a property completes a significant renovation, changes brand affiliation, etc.) we may delete such inapplicable, outdated, or obsolete reviews.
A. Warranty
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES AND MARRIOTT INFORMATION ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or complete operation. You are responsible for using appropriate security protections on your devices.
B. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and third parties connected to us are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from or related to Services; linked websites, apps or third-party services or any materials posted on them, including any liability for loss of income or revenue; loss of business; loss of profits or contracts; loss of anticipated savings; loss of data; loss of goodwill; wasted time; or for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, provided that this condition shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of the categories set out above.
This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, or other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
If we are found liable in connection with the Services, then to the extent permitted by law, your sole remedy will be limited to reimbursement of the amounts you paid for the relevant Services.
To the extent permitted by law, any claim or action relating to the Services must be brought within one (1) year after it arose, unless a longer period is required by the laws of your country of residence.
C. Confidentiality; Feedback
If you send us feedback, questions, or suggestions about the Services, we may use them for any purpose without obligation to you, including to develop and market products and services.
D. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflicts of law rules. The exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute not covered by the terms of the Dispute Resolution provision set forth in these Terms may be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Maryland, United States.
YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHT YOU MAY NOW HAVE OR HEREAFTER POSSESS TO A TRIAL BY JURY. The foregoing shall not apply to the extent that applicable law in your country of residence requires application of another law and/or jurisdiction and this cannot be excluded by contract.
YOU AND MARRIOTT expressly agree to opt out of application of the Maryland Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (MUCITA), Maryland Code Annotated [Commercial Law] 21-101 through 21-816, as permitted by Section 21-104 of MUCITA.
E. Dispute Resolution
Except with respect to any claim or dispute involving the ownership, validity or use of any Marriott trademarks or service marks, any dispute arising out of or related to the Sites (including any claim that any provision of these Terms are invalid, illegal, or otherwise voidable or void) will be submitted for and resolved by binding arbitration before the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Marriott shall have the right in a proper case to obtain temporary restraining orders, temporary or preliminary injunctive relief and/or declaratory relief (other than declarations with respect to the amount of money damages) from a court of competent jurisdiction.
The arbitration proceedings shall be heard by one independent arbitrator who shall be an attorney or retired judge. The arbitration shall be held in Bethesda, Maryland and in accordance with the then-existing Commercial Arbitration Rules of the AAA. All matters within the scope of the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. 1, et seq.) will be governed by it and not by any state arbitration law. You and Marriott waive any rights to maintain other available resolution processes for such disputes, such as a court action or administrative proceeding, to settle disputes. You and Marriott waive any right to a jury trial for such disputes. The rules in arbitration are different from the rules that apply in court. There is no judge or jury, and review is limited, but an arbitrator can award the same damages and relief, and must honor the same limitations stated in these Terms, as a court would.
In reaching his or her decision, the arbitrator shall follow these Terms, shall be bound to apply the applicable law and shall not rule inconsistently with the applicable law. The arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis, and not as a consolidated, common, representative, group or class. The arbitrator shall include in his or her award any relief he or she deems proper in terms of money damages (with interest on unpaid amounts from the date due at the maximum rate allowed by law), and attorneys’ fees and costs. The award of the arbitrator shall be conclusive and binding upon all parties hereto and judgment upon the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Confidential. Other than as may be required by law, the entire arbitration proceedings (including, but not limited to, any rulings, decisions or orders of the arbitrator), shall remain confidential and not be disclosed to anyone other than the parties.
Limitations Period. Any and all claims and actions arising out of or relating to the sites shall be commenced within one (1) year from the occurrence of the facts giving rise to such claim or action, or such claim or action shall be barred.
Class Action Waiver. You agree that you will not file a class action against Marriott or participate in a class action against Marriott. You agree that you will not file or seek a class arbitration, or participate in a class arbitration, against Marriott.
F. Forward-Looking Statements
The Services may contain forward-looking statements made pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. These statements, which may include words such as “anticipate,” “believe,” “expect,” “intend,” “plan,” and similar expressions, involve risks, uncertainties, and assumptions, which could cause actual results to differ materially from those expressed or implied.
See our more recent SEC filings for details. We do not undertake any obligation to update these forward-looking statements, except as required by law.
The Services may show travel insurance offered and sold by AGA Service Company dba Allianz Partners, including in collaboration with Marriott Insurance Agency LLC in Hawaii, Kansas, Massachusetts, New York, and Wyoming. These insurance producers represent the insurer for purposes of the sale and will receive compensation as a result of the sale. Marriott International, Inc. may also receive compensation from Allianz Partners for allowing Allianz Partners to market or offer products to its customers, depending on your state of residence.
New York Residents: The compensation the producers receive may vary depending on a number of factors, including the policy selected, the producers' expenses, volume of business, or profitability. The purchaser may request and obtain information about the producers’ compensation, except as otherwise provided by law.
Travel protection plans are subject to terms, conditions and exclusions. Plans include a waiver of the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions if you meet the requirements listed in your plan; otherwise, the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions will apply. All other terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Travel protection plan charge includes the cost of insurance benefits and assistance services. For more information, see your plan details, or contact Allianz Partners at 800-284-8300 or 9950 Mayland Drive, Richmond, VA 23233 or customerservice@allianzassistance.com.

This optional coverage may duplicate coverage already provided by your personal auto, home, renter’s, health, life, personal liability, or other insurance policy or source of coverage but may be subject to different restrictions. You should review the terms of this policy with your existing coverage. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer/health plan or insurance agent/broker. The purchase of travel insurance is not required to purchase any other products or services. Unless licensed, travel retailers and their employees may provide general information about the insurance, including a description of coverage and price, but are not qualified or authorized to answer technical questions about terms, benefits, exclusions, and conditions of the insurance or evaluate the adequacy of existing insurance coverage. Travel insurance is intended for U.S. residents only and may not be available in all jurisdictions.
California Residents: AGA Service Company is doing business in California as Allianz Partners Insurance Agency, License # 0B01400. California offers a toll-free consumer hotline at 1800927-4357.
Maryland Residents: The purchase of travel insurance would make the travel insurance coverage primary to any other duplicate or similar coverage. The Commissioner may be contacted to file a complaint at: Maryland Insurance Administration, ATTN: Consumer Complaint Investigation Property/Casualty, 200 St. Paul Place, Suite 2700, Baltimore, MD 21202.

Best Co., under BCS Form No. 52.201 series, or Jefferson Insurance Company (NY, Administrative Office: 9950 Mayland Drive, Richmond, VA 23233), rated “A+” (Superior) by A.M. Best Co., under Jefferson Form No. 101 series, depending on your state of residence and plan chosen. Except as otherwise specified, Allianz Partners is the licensed producer and administrator of travel protection plans and an affiliate of Jefferson Insurance Company. The insured shall not receive any special benefit or advantage due to the affiliation between Allianz Partners and Jefferson Insurance Company. Non-Insurance Assistance services purchased as part of a travel protection plan are provided through Allianz Partners. Except as expressly provided under your plan, you are responsible for charges you incur from third parties.
