Take a boat tour on the Cape Fear River, or go to one of the summertime festivals. There's the Beach Music Festival, Fireworks by the Sea, and the Seafood, Blues, and Jazz Festival, for starters. For more fast-paced fun, stop by one of the oceanfront arcades, or the Carolina Beach Amusement Park. Our hotel accommodations are always close by, so don’t worry about getting too tired!
Inland, you can go antique shopping at some of the many shops and boutiques, and when you’re done, be sure to visit the Carolina Beach State Park and look for an indigenous Venus Flytrap, or take a kayak trip up the surrounding rivers. And for dinner, stop in at one of the many locally owned restaurants, such as Havana's for fresh island seafood or Michael’s Seafood Restaurant, where steamed and broiled seafood is the specialty, before heading back to your hotel room.
Carolina Beach is also famous for sport fishing, with constant competitions for serious anglers, and several piers for those who like more casual fishing or who just want to sit back and watch the waves.
