You don’t have to be on the water to enjoy Racine, as there is plenty of hiking to be done at one of the nearby parks. Or simply enjoy a relaxing day on North Beach, home to 50 acres of lovely warm sand. There is also The Root, a green space that winds through Racine and includes hiking trails and the chance meet local animals at Racine Zoo.
For indoor attractions, one of the most popular places to visit in Racine is the SC Johnson Administration Building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and known as the largest commercial project he worked on. Other notable local buildings include the Golden Rondelle Theater, the Fortaleza Hall, and the Wingspread.
