Family-Friendly Hotel with Open-Air Hot Springs

Bringing glory back to the storied hot spring area of Asama Onsen, Matsumoto Jujo is a social hub set in two dramatic structures. Matsumoto Honbako was carefully reworked based on the idea of “encountering abundant knowledge.” It features exposed concrete, natural materials, and designer pieces set close to the floor, giving the hotel a traditional look with a wholly contemporary air. Massive windows turn the surrounding town and Alps into a living theater. Koyanagi, meanwhile, is family-friendly retreat with open-air hot spring baths fed by natural springs.
