Also known as the Scorpion’s Temple (due to the remains of a scorpion sculpture found in one of its walls), Yamil Lu’um is an ancient Mayan ruin located right on the grounds of the resort. Archaeologists estimate its construction in the Late Post-Classic Period (1200–1551 A.D.), and it is a sight not to be missed. Come explore this historical treasure and watch for the native black iguanas.
