Due to the COVID-19 health emergency, pursuant to a directive issued by the Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency and the Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transport, in connection with the Mexico Fly Safe initiative, all persons traveling by air to and from Mexico are required to complete a health questionnaire before they will be permitted to travel. All visitors will be required to show proof of completion of the questionnaire to authorities. Additionally, travelers may be requested to provide information on their health status three days after boarding their flight.

Official Information
To assist all our guests with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pre-testing requirement associated with travel to the U.S., we are happy to provide a list of available testing facilities in the local area. Please contact the property directly for this information. Please note that one of the available testing facilities is located within the resort complex, for your convenience in the event that the use of the testing facility will meet the test and timing requirements necessary for your travel.
IMPORTANT: All testing facilities do have an additional cost for testing services, are subject to availability, and are not affiliated with the resort.
Effective January 26, 2021, pursuant to an order of the Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, all aircraft passengers arriving in the United States from a foreign country are required to provide a copy of either: (i) a negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken no more than 3 days before their flight departs for the United States, or (ii) certain documentation of having recovered from COVID-19, to their airline before boarding a flight to the United States. For more information on the testing requirement and specific documentation that is required, please refer to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website or contact your airline.
The Governor of the State of Quintana Roo, where the resort is located, recently implemented numerous restrictions in an attempt to limit the health impacts, and mitigate the spread, of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Effective immediately through January 15, 2021 (which date is subject to change), the following restrictions will be in place in the State of Quintana Roo, which includes Cancun:
Face coverings are required to be worn while at the resort, including in all common areas as well as while as outside of the resort, including when riding on public transportation; all social events are prohibited and only events involving members of the same household are permitted, however, those events are limited to a maximum of 10 people, must be held in open spaces, and face coverings must be worn at all times; there are limitations in place on the number of passengers in any vehicle, including the following:
- A maximum of four (4) passengers are permitted per vehicle (and only one person per motorcycle); and
- A maximum of three (3) passengers, including the driver, are permitted on any public transportation vehicle.
Additionally, there will be checkpoints operated by local health officials and/or law enforcement throughout the City of Cancun to ensure compliance with these restrictions.

General Property Updates
The government of the Mexican State of Quintana Roo enacted a new tourist tax which, as of April 1, 2021, is currently MX$224.00 (approximately US$11.00) for all international visitors to Quintana Roo. The tax will apply to all international visitors over 15 years old. Please visit https://www.visitax.gob.mx//sitio/ to pay this required tax prior to your arrival.
The State of Quintana Roo assesses a hospitality tax due upon check-out:
- Studio: US$3.14 per night
- Two-Bedroom: US$6.29 per night
- Three-Bedroom: US$9.14 per night
A daily environmental fee of 28.87 pesos will be added to the room rate, and will be billed in pesos directly to your folio.
Service Animal Policy
Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at the resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a Room Recovery Fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a Room Recovery Fee in the amount of $500 per pet, and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility.
Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and may result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment.
