The Pitti Palace was a design by architect Brunelleschi. When the Medici family gained ruling power over the city, the palazzo became the main residence for the Medici family and grew as a great treasure house with valuable art pieces.

One of the oldest and most famous art museum in the world, and hosting an extraordinary collection of masterpieces from the 13th to the 18th centuries with important pieces of Cimabue, Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, as well as the largest Botticelli Collection.

Dedicated to the Santa Croce, the Holy Cross, the Basilica is the site of famous tombs such as the one of Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and Foscolo. The church is known also as the Temple of the Italian Glories. It is placed on its named after square Piazza Santa Croce.

Behind Palazzo Pitti, lies Giardino dei Boboli, a beautiful example of Italian gardens. An open-air museum, with fountains and waterfalls, false cave entrances, marble statues and sculpted trees.

The build of the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore took 140 years with 5 architects involved. The Cathedral complex, located in Piazza del Duomo, includes the baptistery and the Giotto's steeple, a magnificent tower standing right next to the facade.
