Marine Debris is Swamping Nai Yang Beach
Nai Yang Beach is home to an underwater kingdom of marine life and over a thousand coral reefs. Due to years’ worth of plastic pollution, its diverse marine ecosystems are at risk.
Tourism and the continued increase in litter are causing tremendous harm to the local ecosystems at Nai Yang Beach. Marine life is suffocated by discarded fishing nets, ropes, bags, and beach debris while local fishermen’s livelihoods are being affected.

Join a Beach Cleanup to Protect Marine Life
In partnership with the Phuket Hotels Association, we invite guests to participate in a beach cleaning experience to promote the importance of plastic waste reduction and ocean conservation within the resort and among local communities.
Guests will go on a guided tour to meet local fishermen and learn about how their livelihoods are affected by environmental degradation around Nai Yang Beach, followed by a hands-on beach cleanup experience with the hotel team. Finally, guests will participate in an interactive workshop to transform plastic debris picked up from Nai Yang Beach into beautiful bracelets, and raise awareness around plastic reduction.
