Reef-Safe Maui

Hawaii’s isolated archipelagos host unique marine life. To protect our reefs, use only mineral sunscreens with non-nanotized zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Our resort partners with Raw Elements to offer reef-safe sunscreen dispensers. From October 1, 2022, only mineral sunscreens are allowed in Maui County. Mahalo for supporting our efforts to protect Maui’s reefs.

Designed with Sustainability in Mind

Our Kaanapali resort’s 508 rooms are designed for energy efficiency and environmental care. SMART thermostats linked to door locks maximize efficiency. Low flow faucets and toilets reduce water use, and LED lightbulbs save energy. Guest bathrooms feature large refillable soap, shampoo, and conditioner, replacing small plastic bottles.

Solar Panels

Our Maui resort’s PV system, boasting approximately 250 kW and over 1,100 solar panels, significantly offsets about 10% of our electrical usage, contributing to our commitment to sustainable energy practices.

    Theater
    Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
    Reception
    Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
    Schoolroom or Classroom
    The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
