The middle builds an impressive 20-metre-high column, which is made of white marble and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. As a marketplace, the main square soon developed Linz to an economic city. Hot Water Through Climate Cooling
In winter 2023/24, the entire heating and hot water system was completely rebuilt. Since then, the waste heat from the air conditioning system and cold stores has been used to heat all the hot water for the hotel. Thomas Bauer from the technical department explains the details: ‘The more an air conditioning system cools, the more heat it produces. We use this heat (i.e. the waste product of cooling) to heat water. In addition, the in-house cold stores are active 365 days a year. This means that the surplus heat can be utilised all year round.’
