Design

Stay at a Modern Hotel, Infused With 12th Arrondissement Spirit

Reimagined by Studios Architecture, The Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon is a tribute to the district’s unique story. Crafted from materials that anchor the architecture to the local environment, the metal featured on the elegant tower’s façade reflects the area’s industrial past. As an homage to the craftspeople of the 12th arrondissement, photography exhibited throughout the hotel depicts their tools and workshops. At night, a lightshow on the hotel’s exterior portrays a railway line. Linked to the neighboring Gare de Lyon and inspiring onward travel, this decorative motif is echoed in the guestrooms. Colorful accents found in the hotel and restaurant’s interior design, reflect the charm of nearby Rue Crémieux, whilst the expansive green wall located in the lobby, represents local attraction, Coulée Verte.
