Celebrate the season with a sweet tradition that delights guests of all ages. Each year, the culinary and events team at Newport Marriott constructs a towering 17-foot gingerbread lighthouse alongside a 7-foot keeper’s house, proudly displayed in the hotel’s lower lobby through December 31. Crafted from over 530 pounds of organic gingerbread, 240 pounds of royal icing, and more than 14,000 pieces of candy, this festive masterpiece takes over 200 hours to bake, build, and decorate. Whether you're staying overnight or stopping by to soak in the seasonal cheer, the gingerbread lighthouse is a must-see holiday highlight in Newport, RI. In the spirit of giving, guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item. Donations will support the Martin Luther King Center and help brighten the season for local families in need.
