Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung Palace is the first royal palace built in Joseon Dynasty is where the 500-year history of Joseon began. The largest of the 5 Grand Palaces, Gyeongbokgung served as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Visitors to Gyeongbokgung Palace can also visit the National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum of Korea as they are located on the palace grounds.

Changdeokgung Palace is the second UNESCO World Heritage Site in Seoul. It was selected as a representative palace for its notable beauty in the history of palace architecture in East Asia. Since Rear Garden of Changdeokgung is available only to select visitors, a separate fee must be paid, aside from the fee for the palace tour. Please check the website for information.

Cheonggyecheon Stream is an 11 km-long stream that runs through downtown Seoul. The stream starts from Cheonggye Plaza, a popular cultural arts venue, and passes under a total of 22 bridges before flowing into the Hangang River, with many attractions along the way.

Bukchon Hanok Village reflects 600 years of Seoul’s history. The village is situated between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, and its streets are lined with traditional hanok. Unlike other hanok villages, Bukchon was not created for tourists and it is a residential village inhabited by Seoulites. So it is strongly requested that you keep quiet for local residents.
