Misery!
After my experience, I wouldn’t consider this hotel even if it was the last place to have a room available, and any other Fairfield for that matter from now on. I walked in after 5 hours drive from Seattle on 12/2/2019 only to be received by unwelcoming under qualified receptionists. The careless, nonchalant facial expressions and no-greetings despite me standing a distance away from the desk. Then, I was checked in into a double queen room (which felt like a double twin rather than a queen) while my booking was specifically for a king bed, and when I asked why, the answer I received basically meant I should be grateful that I managed to get a room even. Not only that, but when I said I am going to try to get a room in another hotel that first night and failed to secure one, the receptionist called to to speak to me in a tone that felt like ‘oh you said you are going to seek another room why you are still here. The room smelt like damp/moldy carpet disgusting smell, so we requested a change to another room which ended up smelling even worse, It was late and cold in Spokane to go out and look for a replacement at that point, and we had to use an air refreshener in the room for the 2 days we had to stay in Spokane. In our second and last night we decided to go to their indoor pool, and we kept looking for a shower in the pool area to take a pre-swimming shower but there was none. The phone in the room in the last night was dead with no tone until we checked out next day, and same goes for the miserable wifi that was basically non-existent! Too bad you have too click on a star here for rating, otherwise this place gets ZERO stars from me!

Excellent Staff and Personable Atmosphere
We spend several consecutive nights at the Fairfield Inn in Spokane, WA every November to celebrate family events. We are never disappointed. The Staff is excellent, helpful, professional, accommodating, and nice. The maintenance of the grounds look neat and are well kept. The rooms are comfortable, each with a microwave and a fridge. Perkins Restaurant is just next door, and the Performing Arts Center is two blocks away. The whole atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly. We personally feel much more comfortable at the Fairfield Inn, than the "business atmosphere" of the upscale Courtyard by Marriott across the street (where we stayed for MANY years). We also appreciate the vegetarian options that the Fairfield Inn gives on their full breakfast menu.
