Theatre and Arts Centre
DUCTAC is the first modern, non-profit, cross-community creative centre in the Gulf. It was created by local theatre-lovers, arts enthusiasts, artists and business people who recognised the need for an entertainment and educational centre for the community and future generations of Dubai. Myriad performances, installations, exhibitions, classes and events take place in DUCTAC every week, providing entertainment and education in almost every creative genre.
DUCTAC spans nearly 80,000 square feet (approx. 7,500 m2) and includes:
- A state of the art 543-seat theatre
- A fully equipped studio theatre
- A high specification visual arts gallery
- Three dance/rehearsal studios
- 18 art studios, workshops and classrooms, including a pottery and mosaic workshop
- Food and beverage facilities
DUCTAC is also home to the Centre for Musical Arts (CMA), the Art Materials Shop and The Old Library.
