The JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live prioritizes the environment. We minimize our environmental footprint by sustainably managing our energy and water use and reducing our waste emissions. Onsite examples include energy efficient, motion-sensing lights in all public spaces, as well as an automated HVAC system to conserve energy when guest- or meeting rooms are unoccupied, LED lighting, water bottle refill stations and the elimination of single-use plastic straws and containers. We are committed to integrating leading environmental and social practices into our supply chain and partnering with like-minded suppliers. Our hotel works with local food purveyors to reduce ‘food miles,’ has an onsite food compost program and donates leftover banquet food to a local non-profit organization that rescues perishable food and delivers it to food distribution centers.
