Welcome to Duxton Reserve Singapore, Autograph Collection
ECHOES OF 19TH CENTURY ELEGANCE AND LUXURY IN TANJONG PAGAR
Set within eight 1860s shophouses on Duxton Hill, Duxton Reserve Singapore, Autograph Collection is an intimate hotel in the heart of Singapore's most storied neighbourhood. The building is a conservation property - preserved rather than restored - and the hotel inside it has been designed at the same scale: small enough that the front desk knows you by name, distinctive enough that no two rooms repeat themselves.Duxton Hill is a working neighbourhood. Bars, restaurants, galleries, ateliers - the kind of street locals know well and visitors tend to discover by accident. The hotel sits quietly inside it, a private world hidden in plain sight. Yellow Pot is our kitchen. Anouska's is our evening room. Duxton Reserve is the house that contains them both.
Heritage
The 1860s Shophouse, Still Standing, Still Welcoming
When Duxton Hill's shophouses were first built in the 1860s, this stretch of Singapore was the centre of its spice trade - a row of terraced homes owned by merchants who knew each other by name. A century and a half later, the buildings remain. So does the instinct they were built for. Duxton Reserve occupies three of these heritage shophouses, preserved rather than restored. The clay tiles still come from the same kilns. The cornices carry the original dates. Walk the hallways and you'll find conservation orders on the walls beside artwork - proof that this place is what it appears to be. The city has grown up around it. Duxton Hill has not moved.

The hosts
The Front Desk Remembers Your Name
There are hotels that scale and hotels that don't. Duxton Reserve is the second kind - small enough that the front desk knows you by name before you reach the lift. The housekeeper who turns down your bed on Tuesday remembers how you asked for it on Monday. The bartender hears the way your day is going before you order.
This isn't a system we've engineered. It's a consequence of the house being the size it is. Everyone who works here knows everyone who stays. Some guests return so often they're on first-name terms with the night doorman. Others discover, midway through their stay, that they've become part of the house.

Neighbourhood
A Private World, on Singapore’s Most Storied Street
Duxton Hill sits at the edge of Chinatown, a five-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar and a short cab ride from the city centre. The street itself is one of Singapore's most storied - a single gently curving lane of heritage shophouses, now lined with bars, restaurants, galleries, and ateliers that locals know well and visitors tend to discover by accident.
Step through the door and you enter somewhere quieter. Duxton Reserve is hidden in plain sight - the city moves past on the other side of the window, and inside, the pace slows. Singapore unfolds from here: Chinatown's temples and spice markets at the top of the hill, the Central Business District a short walk the other way, the Marina Bay skyline ten minutes out.

What to Expect
Plan and Prepare for Your Stay
The 49 Rooms
Each room was carved out of the original shophouse footprint - which means asymmetric ceilings, preserved cornices, and the particular pleasure of a room that couldn't exist anywhere else. Some face the street and catch morning light. Others tuck deeper into the building and stay quieter. Choose your character.
Yellow Pot & Anouska's
Yellow Pot is our kitchen - Chinese dining, modern hands, ingredients that travel as far as they need to. Anouska's is our evening room - a cocktail bar with a ceiling older than the country it sits in. Both are open to the street.
The Neighbourhood
Duxton Hill is Singapore's best-kept secret for the locals who live here, and we're not especially interested in spoiling that. But if you're staying with us, a few doors, a few shortcuts, and a few names at the end of those shortcuts come with the room.
