The safety of our guests and associates is a top priority. As guidance regarding face coverings and vaccination verification varies by local jurisdiction and may change, guests should review public information websites for the most up-to-date guidance for your destination, as well as the hotel-specific sections below and US and Canada Travel Advisories | Marriott Bonvoy™ before traveling. Fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel, unless required by local law.

Mobile check-in and service requests are available via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile app.

In-room coffee makers are not currently in our guestrooms; however, guests may request coffee maker delivery via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile app or by calling our In-Room Dining Team.

You may use your personal mobile phone as the remote control to browse the interactive program guide and change channels on the television. Enjoy complimentary content options such as Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and many others through our guest room entertainment platform.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, the Palace Hotel has made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators. We have also provided hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel. 
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Although face masks are no longer required in San Francisco, masks are still recommended for non-vaccinated guests. Masks are available at our Front Desk.
  • Hand Sanitizer Stations:  Are available near all entrances/exits and throughout the lobby.
  • Guest Room Housekeeping: All guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each departure and new arrival. 

We are prepared to offer our guests daily housekeeping service. While staying with us, many guests prefer not to have daily housekeeping services to follow CDC social distancing recommendations. Please let us know at check-in if you would prefer not to have daily housekeeping service, and we will make those arrangements.  Housekeeping service is available from 8:00am-4:00pm daily.

  • Guestrooms have been thoroughly disinfected for your arrival. To adhere to social distancing best practices, guests must request service for multiple night stays. If your visit is longer than one week, housekeeping will clean on the 7th day.
  • Based on the hotel occupancy, the Palace will rest guestrooms between guests for 24-72 hours.

The Palace Hotel is committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

Fitness Center and Pool: The fitness center located on the fourth level, is open 24 hours a day.  The pool is available between the hours of 5:00am and 10:00pm.

Concierge Service:  Our team of Les Clefs d'Or Concierges is available each day to help you plan your entertainment and adventure while visiting San Francisco. You can email the Concierges team directly at SFOLCFOCONCIERGETEAM@MARRIOTT.COM.

Valet Parking:  Valet parking service is available daily from 5:00am-12:00am Monday-Friday, and 5:00am-1:00am on weekends. The Palace Hotel Parking Garage is located on Stevenson Alley directly across from the New Montgomery Street main hotel entrance. The hotel does not have self-parking but there are self-parking garages nearby.

Landmark 18:  The Palace is the most historic hotel in San Francisco. We have carefully curated a museum, Landmark 18, where you will find details, stories, and artifacts that celebrate the 147-year history of the Palace. Located on the lobby level. 

The Palace Hotel is committed to continuing its legacy as a premier venue destination while also complying with local regulations. Our available venues and their hours of operation are:

The Garden Court Restaurant- serving breakfast, lunch and Saturday afternoon tea. Restaurant reservations are highly recommended for The Garden Court, please call 415-546-5089 to speak with our Food and Beverage team or make a reservation via OpenTable.

  • A la carte breakfast table service from 6:30am-10:30am Monday through Saturday, and 7:00am-11:30am on Sunday.  
  • A buffet breakfast is available 6:30am-10:30am Monday through Saturday, and 7:00am-11:30am on Sunday.
  • Lunch is available from 12:00pm-2:00pm Monday through Friday.
  • Our famous Signature Afternoon Tea service is served Saturday from 12:00pm-2:00pm.
  • GC2GO is a convenient grab and go food and beverage service located in the lounge of The Garden Court on the lobby level.  GC2GO is open from 6:30am-10:30am Monday through Saturday, and 7:00am-11:30am on Sunday.

Pied Piper Bar and Lounge

  • The Pied Piper offers a la carte dinner daily from 4:00pm-9:30pm. Bar service is available from 4:00pm-10:30pm. Reservations are not necessary.  More information is available at PiedPiperSF.com

In-Room Dining

  • In-Room Dining is available for breakfast daily from 6:30am-10:30am. Dinner is available from 4:00pm-9:30pm each day of the week.
  • Lounge Access: The Garden Court and Garden Court Lounge furniture has been rearranged based on CDC social distancing guidelines. Limited Food and Beverage offerings are available due to the pandemic.
  • Late Check-Out: The Palace Hotel is currently honoring late checkout upon request, based on availability.
  • Mobile Check-In/Check-Out: Mobile check-in and check-out are available at the Palace Hotel. We do still require guests to show a valid ID at check-in before issuing guestroom keys.
  • Mobile Key: Currently, the Palace Hotel does not have mobile key available currently.
  • Mobile Dining: At this time, the Palace Hotel does not have mobile dining available currently.
