fON Art Gallery is an exhibition space inside of the Four Points by Sheraton Catania Hotel, curated by Fondazione Oelle Mediterraneo Antico ETS. It was born from a desire to enhance 40 years of business with a strong commitment to art as a language – an element of continuity between tradition, identity, and innovation. The entire hotel is a canvas, and the curators use all the spaces to organize exhibitions and tributes to famous artists as well as programmers on contemporary forms of artistic expression. Those who first enter Four Points Catania immediately take in the hotel’s art soul: with a reception wall crafted by Agostino Bonalumi, carved lava stone panoramic lifts by Urano Palma, and the movement of the hotel square captured on the hotel’s “canvas” by Mark Kostabi. The collection includes additional works by international artists like Urs Lüthi, Ryan Mendoza, Gabriele Basilico and Michel Christopher Brown.

Wearing a VR visor, you will move around the room in virtual reality and enter the universe of Ryan Mendoza as a voyeur observing him during a photo shoot and immersing yourself in a surreal environment.

At Four Points by Sheraton Catania, together with Fondazione OELLE Mediterraneo Antico ETS, we continue to transform hospitality into a living experience, embracing art not as a mere decorative element, but as an integral part of our vision of welcoming guests—inviting them to engage with an idea, a perspective. This is how Passi 2026 Aci Castello, the new project by Alfredo Pirri, came to life. A site-specific installation that transforms Suite 101 into a threshold: physical, yet above all, emotional. A floor of shattered mirrors reflects and multiplies every gaze. Three celestial fields gently touch, meet, and intensify: Saint Agatha, Saint Lucy, and Saint Rosalia. Here, each visitor's step activates the space, becoming an integral part of the artwork.
Inaugurated in 2015, the room is named after the homonymous American photographer famous also for his iconic shots of Hollywood stars. The link between our hotel and Phil Stern was born in 2013 when the artist stayed in the same room for about two weeks on his return to Sicily to inaugurate his solo exhibition curated by Ezio Costanzo and produced by @FondazioneOelle, of unpublished photographs of the war on the island in the summer of 1943. The iconic shot of James Dean welcomes you at the entrance in rooms, while the one of Marylin Monroe you will find in the sleeping area along with the series "Welcome back to Sicily" that portray the human aspects of Phil Stern who returns to Sicily after 70 years.
