The Clémence is the largest of the 45 bells of the cathedral of Geneva. Located in the north tower, it weighs six tons. It was cast in 1407 thanks to a gift from Robert de Genève, Antipope in Avignon. The bell was cast in a pit where the mould was lowered and then buried to prevent it from exploding under the pressure of the molten metal. Armand Dufaux, on the other hand, specialised in the automobile industry in Paris.
