Take some touring skis uphill using skins that grip the ski in the snow. This offers a great workout whilst taking advantage of the beautiful scenery. If you have started late in the day, watch the sunset and ski back down to Verbier in the early dusk light with the whole mountain to yourself. This incredible experience requires no previous knowledge of ski touring, but participants must be confident skiers and have a reasonable fitness level.
