Set in the southeast of Guangdong Province, and dating back thousands of years, Huizhou is a prefecture-level city located along the South China Sea in the Pearl River Delta. This picturesque area is home to the crystal-blue waters of Xunliao Bay, which boasts 11-kilometres of white sandy beaches and lovely views of the surrounding mountains and mangroves. Situated in Huidong County, Pinghai Ancient City dates back more than 600 years to the Ming Dynasty. Recognised for its historical heritage and beautiful views, West Lake is one of Huizhou’s popular attractions. Located in the city centre, it is well-known for its five connecting lakes, six unique bridges, and impressive Sizhou Tower. Nankun Mountain, in southwest Longmen, is equally scenic with its many butterfly species and bamboo forests.
