Scuba Diving

Located at the convergence of the Bay of Banderas and the Pacific Ocean, Punta Mita is one of Mexico's top diving destinations. Whale Watching

From December to April each year, the waters off Punta Mita are filled with migrating Humpback whales. While it’s possible to catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures from shore, there is no experience like watching them swim, spout and breach the water up close from a private boat.

Islas Marietas National Park:

A few miles off the Punta Mita peninsula, several regal masses rise from the sea and beckon visitors to play. This is Islas Marietas National Park, a seductive group of islands with numerous hidden charms. Snorkelers and sunbathers are enchanted by the spectacular marine wildlife, which often includes sea turtles, stingrays, octopi, dolphins and humpbacked whales. Continue to explore and secret beaches will reveal themselves; the confluence of three bodies of water will swirl in quiet eddies. As extraordinary species of birds soar through the sky, Islas Marietas National Park will delight the all the senses.

Turtle Migrations on Sayulita's Beaches:

It is nothing less than a captivating sight as newly hatched Olive Ridley sea turtles struggle to depart their nests, then orient themselves to the ocean and make the long journey to their new home in the sea. In the summer, adult female turtles come ashore to lay eggs in protected dunes. Hatchlings emerge each fall and disappear into the surf, leaving only telltale indented trails and flipper marks

Dolphin Swims:

Punta Mita is a natural haven for marine life and a number of local operations offer chances to swim and bond with dolphins or even become a dolphin trainer for a day, giving children and adults a timeless and memorable afternoon with these magnificent creatures.

Tequila Tour:

Tequila is more than a drink: it is a town, a craft, a tradition, a livelihood. Visit the town of Tequila and tour the verdant agave fields; admire the architecture of the haciendas and take in the fragrant aroma of exquisitely tended gardens. Discover the process by which tequila is extracted and taste the finished product straight from the barrel. Allow those whose family history is steeped in the beverage explain the intricacies of its multi-layered taste, and enjoy authentic Mexican snacks.

Pacifico Course

With breathtaking views to match the Bahia Course, the 7,014-yard, par-72 Pacifico Course features eight oceanside holes, highlighted by Hole #3b, which is optional to play. Known as the “Tail of the Whale,” this one-of-a-kind par 3 requires golfers to play their first shot from an onshore tee box to an island green located 194 yards away on a natural rock formation in the Pacific Ocean. At low tide, a submerged stone path to the green becomes passable.

Bahia Course

The Bahia Course’s rolling greens and fairways offer players of all skill levels a challenging yet fun round. Measuring 7,035 yards, the par-72 layout offers five par 3s, eight par 4s and five par 5s, with fairways meandering through Punta Mita’s exclusive residential communities. With an approach shot accompanied by panoramic views of Banderas Bay and the Puerto Vallarta skyline, the 15th hole is one of the most unforgettable in Mexico.
