Mission San Juan Capistrano

The historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, the 21st mission, was founded by Junipero Serra in 1776, and to this day is one of the best well-kept missions in California. Docent tours are available and invite visitors and locals alike to see this as a cultural destination experience, a place of inspiration, education, and preservation. The mission is home to the ruins of the great stone church and serves as a vibrant place of ongoing learning and worship.

Swallows Day Celebration

Every year in March, San Juan Capistrano celebrates the migration of the swallows with Fiesta de las Golondrinas, or "the Swallows Parade". The parade is over 60 years old and is the largest non-motorized parade in the nation. The many events scheduled for this time of the year pay tribute to San Juan Capistrano's unique Spanish and western heritage. Enjoy viewing the Swallows Day Parade with us at Inn at the Mission. Los Rios Historic District

As the oldest residential street in California, the Los Rios Historic District is home to restaurants like Ramos House Café, a quaint place to enjoy brunch, or Hummingbird Café, perfect for a cup of tea and a scone. Wine Tasting

Rancho Capistrano Winery is Orange County's largest winery and was the birthplace of grape growing and winemaking in California. The winery has produced over 40 wines and boasts a 3,000 sq ft outdoor patio with rustic teak tables and a blazing fireplace. Amtrak Train and San Juan Capistrano Trolley

The mission was known as a marketplace for commerce which is widely celebrated in San Juan Capistrano. The train station, located within walking distance from the hotel, allows guests convenient and hassle-free access to San Diego (to the south), Los Angeles (to the north), and beyond.
