Our location puts us in the heart of Chippendale, one of Sydney’s most creatively dynamic areas, it is close to many eclectic art galleries, vibrant street art and international art events. Discover Chinese contemporary art at White Rabbit Gallery on Balfour Street, a fascinating space opened by the Neilson Foundation in 2009 and set in a former Rolls Royce service depot.
Art & Heritage
Heading outdoors, Chippendale is well known for its amazing public art. You can wander down the small laneways and buildings that are the canvas for colourful and sometimes provocative street art. Explore Myrtle Street, Balfour Street, Beamount Street, Rose Street, Grafton and Teggs Lanes, just to name a few locations. Whilst exploring, take a moment to admire the historic architecture of warehouses and townhouses that have been lovingly restored over the years. Many of Chippendale’s buildings are heritage-listed, including the Mortuary Station. Built in 1869 in Gothic-revival style, it was the terminal for the mortuary train to Sydney’s Rookwood cemetery. It is a fascinating snapshot into Sydney’s history.

Planet
We care about nature and sustainability, and our surrounding precinct strives to be one of the city’s most sustainable urban communities. Standing at the centre of Chippendale Green is the wind-powered kinetic sculpture Halo, designed by Jennifer Turpin and Michaelie Crawford. Consisting of a tapered yellow carbon fibre ring balanced on a silver arm from a tall, tilted silver mast, the sculpture was inspired by Central Park’s brewery heritage, and interacts with nature, moving with the wind.
Nature & Sustainability
A short walk from the hotel takes you to the world’s tallest vertical garden that drapes across the façade of One Central Park. The spectacular garden covers 1200sqm across 23 walls, is 116m tall and features more than 30,000 shrubs and 70,000 plants. Central Park has its own Central Thermal Plant (CTP) and tri-generation power for heating and cooling the Central Park precinct. It has its own water recycling factory, collecting rainwater, black water and grey water for treatment and re-use in laundries, toilets and gardens.

Boasting a modern design, our Sydney restaurant offers satisfying breakfasts featuring a variety of healthy favourites. Closed for lunch and Dinner on Public Holidays.
Malt Bar
Honouring Chippendale's brewing history, Malt Bar tempts with tasty tapas and craft beers. Join us for Happy Hour in our welcoming indoor lounge or outdoor patio Tuesday – Saturday from 5pm – 6pm. Available from 8th of June 2023 – 31st August 2023.
Fitness Centre
Our fully equipped Fitness Centre boasts high quality equipment and open views of Chippendale. Offering a range of treadmills machines and exercise equipment from rowing machines and recumbent bikes to step machines, and free weights. Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park Fitness Centre is open seven days a week and is complimentary for hotel guests.
