A Former Private Palace
Originally built as a private residence of Duke Philipp of Württemberg, the Palais on Vienna’s Ring Boulevard was transformed into the Hotel Imperial for the Vienna World’s Fair and was ceremoniously opened on April 28, 1873.

Pets at Hotel Imperial
We permit one dog (36kg/80lbs) per room and provide the following amenities for their comfort: a dog bowl, bed and mat, and a Pet Welcome Kit. Guests are required to sign a liability waiver at check-in and a one time fee of € 50 and € 20 for each additional night for the cleaning fee will apply. Please note that we do not permit pets in the hotel's meeting rooms and in the restaurant Opus.

Our goal is to protect our environment and act sustainably wherever possible. The Austrian Ministry for Environment recognized our green actions by awarding us with the Austrian Eco Label. Environmental activities focus on efficient energy saving, waste prevention, eco-friendly buying, and ecological cleaning. Thus water-saving modules in the fittings are used, heat recycling from air-conditioning is practised, eco-friendly refill packages are bought while only fair-trade coffee and meals from predominantly regional products with a focus on sustainable cultivation are served. Furthermore, we encourage our guests and employees to take part in this important cause every day. For example, we offer all guests who arrive at our hotel by train an additional bottle of water while various digital services to reduce paper consumption are available. Last but not least, we are always striving to introduce new processes to become more sustainable every day.
