Until 1989, the Berlin Wall marked the border between East Berlin and West of Berlin. Today only remnants of the concrete barrier remain. Mainly re-positioned, visitors may receive an impression of the city's division, but not far from Potsdamer Platz there is still a 200-meter-long original piece of the Berlin Wall.
