Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, being respectful of personal choices with regards to social distancing and the wearing of face coverings. We do appreciate your support and understanding.

  • Signage throughout our hotels to remind guests to maintain social distancing.
  • Occupancy limits and seating capacities reductions in our restaurant and bar in compliance with local and national guidelines.
  • Screens installed at front desks and food and beverage service lines.
  • All non-resident guests are asked to submit their details to the NHS track and trace scheme which can be done via a QR code located at the entrance to all food and beverage areas.
  • Mobile check-in and key, service requests, and room service orders delivered right to your door via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile app.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout the hotel including in guest rooms, these include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including bathrooms and lifts as well as provided more hand sanitising stations throughout.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local and national authorities. Guests are welcome to wear personal face coverings should they wish.
  • Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilising enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.

Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. We will provide housekeeping cleaning services after your third night with us and while you are away from the room. If you’d like to receive additional daily cleaning, simply let our team know and we will gladly take care of it.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

Lounges: Open, masks required for guests purchasing takeaway.

The Abbey Hotel Kitchen, ArtBar and Terrace are all open and operational with social distancing and covid secure safety measures in place. We are offering takeaway coffees and juices from the ArtBar. We are operating on minimal staff in the kitchen to adhere to safety guidelines and ensuring our front of house team endeavour to socially distance at all times. Our menus are are either disposable or fully wipeable in which case they are regularly sprayed with disinfectant and allowed to rest before being returned to operation.

Thank you for your understanding in cases where we may have to offer an alternative. Marriott Bonvoy members are invited to use the Marriott Bonvoy App (available on the App Store and Google Play) to take advantage of contactless options, including:

  • Mobile Check-In/Check-Out: Let us know via the app when you are planning to arrive and once you departed.
  • Mobile Key: Forgo the front desk altogether and go straight to your guest room
  • Mobile Dining: Order your private, in-room dining through the app.
