Nestled on the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium is a nonprofit public aquarium boasting 10,000 to 12,000 animals across 18 species. Located near our hotel, the aquarium boasts something for the whole family to enjoy, from exhibits to interactive, hands-on experiences.

The River Journey offers five major exhibits in a 130,000-square-foot structure. It follows the path of a raindrop from the mountains to New Mexico, and was the largest fresh water tank in the world when it was built.

 

Ocean Journey is a 60,000-square-foot structure and tells the story of the river as it flows into the Gulf of New Mexico. See sharks, rays, hyacinth macaws and a butterfly garden, among many other attractions.

Hunter Museum of American Art

Built on a ninety-foot limestone bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, the Hunter Museum of American Art features 100 years of architecture and houses one of the finest collections of American art in the Southeast. The museum highlights American art from the colonial period to the present day, and covers a wide variety of media including painting, sculpture, contemporary studio glass, and crafts.

Come out to the West Village to enjoy a free laser light show, projected on the side of The Westin Chattanooga hotel every Saturday. The street will be shut down and local vendors will be set up for all to enjoy the exciting and growing community in the West Village, so be sure to bring family and friends for a fun night out. Family show starts at 6:30 and adult show starts at 7:30.

Take in breathtaking, heart-palpitating performances of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Association at the legendary Tivoli Theatre in Downtown Chattanooga. The theatre also hosts an array of well-known touring companies and musical acts every year.

W. Max Finley Stadium

The home stadium for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team and Chattanooga FC, W. Max Finley Stadium is conveniently located downtown as Chattanooga’s largest venue.

 

McKenzie Arena

The primary basketball venue for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, McKenzie Arena is also used for concerts, the circus, monster truck shows, and many other events.
