Events

The Dubai EDITION has over 300 square meters of meeting venue divided between a ballroom and 3 meeting rooms that can be combined, and several foyer areas, all located on the first floor. Fully equipped with standard AV equipment such as TV and projector with wireless connection or HDMI, sound system, microphones, pointers, and flipcharts, inclusive are our branded notepads and pens, water, and sanitizers. Regarding signage, all meeting spaces dispose of a digital screen that can be personalized. There are several entrances to these spaces, such as from the lobby and private entry directly from the street if discretion is key. Our hotel operates with personalized menus and drinks packages adapted to the guidelines received and dietary requests.

Architecture

Signature Spaces

As with all EDITION hotels, the lobby is a dynamic, social space that subtly reveals a sense of place and sense of time. In this soaring public space, the 50-foot-high domed ceiling is reminiscent of Italian architectural structures. You are immediately drawn to the centre piece, a seamless triple spiral staircase, and a truly unique design statement that connects the lobby to other public spaces. A grand three-tiered crystal chandelier adds drama and decadence to this modern gathering place to see and be seen. Accessible from the lobby, the ground floor is home to Duomo, the theatrical Italian restaurant serving modern interpretations of traditional cuisine. Abstract digital art is projected onto the dome ceiling above creating an interactive and encompassing dining experience from the surroundings to the plate.

Room Set-up Examples

Banquet

Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.

Conference and Hollow Square

Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.

E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape

Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.

Theater

Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.

Reception

Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.

Schoolroom or Classroom

The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.

Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.
