Coaching & Tennis Clinics

• Players can choose from a range of coaching organised and conducted by the qualified team of coaches at the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy.
• The academy programme has a wide selection of coaching courses available for both adults and children which cover all aspects of the game. Each session is delivered using a selection of specifically designed drills and exercises that are challenging but ultimately rewarding and each group is carefully managed, with low numbers of players in each group to maximise your coaching experience. 
• The weekly coaching programme is supported by a range of seasonal tournaments and events that give players of all ages a chance to test their skills and take home a trophy!

Michael Weyman (BSc, PGCert, CSCS)

• Michael was born on the 5th of August 1977 and he is from Middlesex, London - England.

• Playing History: Middlesex University High Level Tennis Centre, Competed Futures Tournaments in Europe and USA

• Tennis Highlights: Michael coached all levels from Junior to Pro. Strength and Conditioning - Pro Level.

João Marques

• João was born on the 5th of December 1964 and he is from Faro - Portugal.

• Playing History: João started playing tennis at the age of 9. He has been working with ACTA for two years.

• Daily activities are also organized by age, which included face painting, arts and crafts, treasure hunts, water games and various sports activities. The activities schedule is seasonal and may vary according to the time of the year you visit the resort.

• Porto Pirata is currently open between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm. In the summer we extend until 7:00pm only for assistance (mini-golf, selling). The child care remains until 5:00pm. After closure guests are still able to access the outdoor facilities of the playground. All services of Porto Pirata Kid's Club are subject to seasonal availability, the playground is open all year-round. Porto Pirata Children's Village

• 6 months to 8 years of age.
  
  
• Imagine the wonder of your child exploring a playground filled with two life-size wooden pirate ships - complete with an endless view of the Atlantic Ocean from their perch high atop the cliffs of the Algarve.

• The multi-functional ships anchor the incredibly spacious Porto Pirata, the hotel's 7000 square meter on-site children's village for children ages six months to eight years.
  
  
  
• Supervised by an experienced and well-qualified staff, children enjoy their own adventures complete with a bouncing castle, mini track for big-wheel toys, scooters and bikes, a swimming pool just for kids, and an 18-hole mini-golf course to entertain the whole family.
   

• Daily activities are organized by age and include finger painting, arts and crafts, treasure hunts, water games, face painting and various sporting activities.
   

• The program and outdoor facilities is offered to all guests, with some activities within the program, incurring a nominal charge.
   

• Porto Pirata is open from March through October, and during selected dates throughout festive seasons, between 09:30h and 17:00h.

Junior Club

• 8 to 12 years of age
   

• The 'tween' set, ages eight to thirteen years old, will love our Junior's Club with supervised activities designed just for them. Kids enjoy mini-golf, football, crossbow and aim shooting, water ball, darts and disc bowls and much more.
   

• A weekly programme is available during the festive and summer months and features a selection of activities including Aquaball, Tree-climbing, Archery and more. Many of these may be enjoyed with parents as well, creating special family moments to last a lifetime. Junior Club activities incur a nominal charge.

• The Junior Club is located just outside the hotel’s main building next to the Corda Café. These programmes are offered June through September. Pre-reserved vouchers are required for a nominal fee and are available at reception or the concierge.

Located at Lemon Square since 2018, in the heart of the Resort, the cooking school is assembled with state-of-the-art equipment and a luminous environment that invites for long afternoons paired with the best of Portuguese wine that accompanies the experiences. At MIMO you will also find a gourmet shop full of gourmet local products that you can take with you to prepare the delicious plates you learned when you get home.

• Explore the medieval village of Silves—from the impressive walls of its Moorish castle to the Ponte Romana Bridge recalling the presence of the Romans.
• Journey to Monchique, the highest point in the Algarve, nestled between the mountains of Foia and Picota and offering spectacular panoramas of rolling hills and the ocean beyond. Famed for its thermal spas, an exploration of its steep cobble-stoned streets leads to ancient churches, monastaries, and the small doorways of local artisans.
• Discover Alte, an extremely pretty village amid unspoilt and hilly countryside. Noted for its whitewashed architecture, narrow streets, gardens filled with flowers, and hanging baskets, Alte is typical of the Algarve region.

The Euro is the accepted currency and most stores and restaurants take all major credit cards and European debit cards. There is a shopping complex just 15 kilometres from the hotel, accessible by car, which is open daily from 10am to 11pm.
