Unparalleled Golfing Excellence
Golf
Mount Juliet Estate is a haven for golf enthusiasts, blending the challenge of a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course with the serenity of its stunning landscape. From hosting iconic tournaments to offering innovative coaching and cutting-edge technology at The Academy, every detail is designed to inspire passion for the game. Whether you’re perfecting your swing with our golf lessons in Kilkenny or enjoying a day on the greens, Mount Juliet Estate promises an unparalleled journey into the heart of championship golf.
Our Course
It is easy to see why the course has captured the hearts of countless golfers around the world: from title-winning professionals to well-travelled amateurs, to complete beginners. Our 18 Hole Championship Jack Nicklaus’ signature design course embodies Jack’s ambitious and mischievous approach to course design. With meandering streams and a number of lakes have been constructed, which enhance a number of holes, while over 80 bunkers have been strategically placed throughout. The third hole from the championship tee, for example, you will have to contend with 180 yards of carry over a shimmering lake. The 11th, 13th and 14th holes, meanwhile, might be among the course’s most beautiful to look at, but these greens are heavily guarded by bunkers and water. You arrive at perhaps the course’s most unusual feature on the 16th, where you will find a walled green almost entirely surrounded by a bunker.

Mount Juliet Estate To Host the 2025 Ofx Irish Legends
The 2025 OFX Irish Legends will be hosted on our championship course in the week commencing 12th May 2025 at Mount Juliet Estate, which has previously been the venue for five Irish Open’s and two World Golf Championships. It is a first return to the Kilkenny course for the over 50’s Tour since 1999, when John Morgan was victorious in the Irish Seniors Open on the European Seniors Tour – before it became the Legends Tour. The course at Mount Juliet Estate was designed by Jack Nicklaus and stretches up to 7,200 yards across 180 acres of land. The course provides players with plenty of challenges to avoid with five lakes, which come into play on six holes, and 80 bunkers which are strategically placed around the course.
