Near the Original Tee, this larger promontory on the third hole of Mauna Kea Beach Hotel’s golf course is our most popular wedding locale. Also high on a lava bluff, it sits just above the manicured fairway and the ocean’s inlet creating a dramatic setting for dreamy “I do’s.”

The North Pointe Lawn offers expansive views of the beach and bay.

This large area is located on the north end of the hotel’s grounds and offers expansive views of the beach and Hawaii’s Kauna‘oa Bay. A lava stone patio serves as the stage for your Big Island wedding ceremony, while the adjacent lawn provides ample room for a wedding reception or dinner to follow.

The South Pointe Lawn is an enclosed lawn for larger weddings or receptions.

Set among mature, sheltering trees and lush tropical flowers oceanside, this is one of the most authentic wedding venues of its kind on the Big Island. An existing stage, bar, imu (underground oven) and buffet lend themselves naturally to weddings or any other celebration. Due to the resort’s regularly scheduled Hawaiian luau, Tuesdays and Fridays are not available.

Conference and Hollow Square
Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.
E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape
Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
Theater
Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
Reception
Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
