Inspired by Tel Aviv

Meaning “party” in Hebrew, Mesiba takes inspiration from Bar Lab Hospitality founding partner Elad Zvi’s childhood memories of the diverse flavors of Israel, animated by the celebratory “breaking bread” culture of the Levant region. A festive space that pays homage to Tel Aviv’s lively energy, Mesiba features contemporary Levantine cuisine and innovative, vibrant cocktails in an eclectic and lively atmosphere.

Eastern Mediterranean Menu

Chef Eli Buli designed the menu as a modern play on traditional dishes from the area, which encompasses Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Palestine, and the rest of the Eastern Mediterranean. Emphasizing shared plates and authentic Levantine ingredients like sun-dried labneh using an East Jerusalem Yogurt Stone and Har Bracha tahini, Chef Buli’s dishes emerge fragrant from a taboon, a traditional clay oven.

Seasonal Cocktails and Wine List

The cuisine is complemented by seasonal cocktails and a wine list curated by Aviram Turgeman. He is a recipient of the Grand Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator Magazine for several years running. The warm, verdant dining room centers around a curved marble bar, with plants hanging from the double-height ceiling lending a bohemian vibe, while Hollywood-style booths ensure a spirited atmosphere.

Blending contemporary Indo-Aussie beach culture with Brooklyn energy, Moxy Williamsburg’s indoor/outdoor rooftop bar is a unique setting for tropical-inspired cocktails, Balinese beach barbecue, and dramatic views of the Williamsburg Bridge and Manhattan skyline from the huge terrace. Playful cocktails, including large-format drinks for the whole table to share, incorporate tropical fruits and Southeast Asian spices. Giant lotus flowers carved from copper, glass, and leather form a dramatic ceiling sculpture. Outside, the terrace’s seating areas optimize spectacular vistas of the Manhattan skyline — and the iconic steel trusses of the Williamsburg Bridge seem close enough to touch.

Signature drinks pay homage to classic New York cocktails with subtle twists and unexpected ingredients, such as a New York Sour topped with red wine foam, while the menu of small bites celebrates the melting pot of Levantine cuisine. The show-stopping, double-height space — with floor-to-ceiling windows, bohemian wooden chandeliers, cascading greenery, and inviting seating areas that spill out onto the sidewalk — weaves itself naturally into the social fabric of Williamsburg.

Inspired by mid-century recording studios and the retro leisure lifestyle, Jolene Sound Room is an energetic lounge with a custom sound system from the award-winning team behind some of NYC's legendary clubs - the ideal spot to dance to the music of local and global DJs. In partnership with Miami-based nightlife impresarios David Sinopoli, Davide Danese, and Coloma Kaboomsky - collectively called the Space Invaders and best known for their seminal Club Space - Bar Lab has created a space with intimate seating, interactive lighting, and perfect acoustics. Custom audiophile speakers line the ceiling and walls. Walnut, leather, and fabrics ensure warm, resonant acoustics, ranging from lounge-y to clubby according to the performer and the mood. Marquee-style lights line the entire space, syncing to the music to create a multi-sensory experience. The furniture moves to make room for dancing, and the glowing bar serves up specialty cocktails on draft.
