The Nines is home to two locally loved and critically acclaimed restaurants, the Urban Farmer Steakhouse and Departure Restaurant + Lounge. Located in our living room, Urban Farmer is known for simple farm-to-table preparations. Surrounded by views of downtown Portland, Departure features Pan-Asian cuisine in a contemporary setting. Both restaurants offer ambitious, delicious menus and are Gold certified with the Sustainability at Work Program in Portland, Oregon.

Guest Notice for Departure Restaurant
Departure restaurant will temporarily be closed beginning January 7, 2019 while it undergoes a revitalization. The restaurant looks forward to welcoming guests again in February 2019. During this time, we invite you to experience our modern, local steakhouse, Urban Farmer.

Urban Farmer’s menu honors national and local culinary traditions, sourcing ingredients from some of the Northwest’s finest eco-friendly producers.

Local Abstract Art

Satellite, an abstract video installation by local artist Matt McCormick, is on display inside Urban Farmer. The video features various images of Portland’s Fremont Bridge at dusk.

Extensive Wine Menu

The wine list at Urban Farmer features nearly 200 varietals from Oregon, Washington and California in addition to three-dozen world-class wines from Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
