Take 405 Freeway South, which merges into the 5 Freeway South. Traveling past Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano, exit at Pacific Coast Highway on the right, heading north. Proceed through two sets of stop lights to Dana Point Harbor Drive, and turn left. Proceed a short block and turn right onto Street of the Park Lantern. Proceed to the top of the hill, and enter the resort's property.

The Spa

The Spa at Laguna Cliffs underwent a Green Renovation, which included upcycling of reclaimed wood, recycled glass, and repurposing of existing elements such as cabinetry, mirrors, and lockers. All products we use in our spa treatments are organic and/or natural. The Spa uses Eminence Organic Skincare which plants a tree for every product sold. On average, guests of Laguna Cliffs plant 100 trees per month.

Hotel gas usage is computer monitored to isolate and economize use during peak and off peak hours providing another 13% use savings.
Steam generators are set to activate blow down only under strict parameters providing an 8% water savings and another 15% chemical use savings.

Our resort is 100% smoke-free, with fresh air HVAC systems throughout the property and "Allergen-Free Rooms" are available upon request.

We recycle all glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, computers, electronics, and metals waste, as well as lawn waste and cooking oil.

Our daily operations include eco-friendly laundry and dry cleaning processes, green housekeeping standards, guest room recycling separation, and more!

Initiatives include low-flow devices in all rooms, a water purification/recycling system for the Splash Zone, the use of saline in pools/spa to reduce chlorine gases, and a rain-sensitive irrigation system.

In addition to LED or compact fluorescent lighting in all rooms, parking garages and public areas, the hotel has installed 50 solar-powered exhaust units, a computer-monitored gas usage system and is a participant in the Energy Star Program.

Dana Point was named for American author Richard Henry Dana Jr., who first caught sight of its majestic bluffs in 1836 following a two-year voyage as a common seaman on the brig Pilgrim. His memoir Two Years Before the Mast" documented his journey and love for the area with such passion that the town’s residents were moved to change its name from Capistrano Bay to Dana Point. To this day, Dana Point continues to draw travelers from around the world to explore its miles of gorgeous Pacific shoreline and partake in exhilarating pursuits on land, sea and air: parasailing, whale watching, deep-sea fishing, golf, nautical history, art and music, museums, and more.
