In order to better protect our natural environment following the April 2022 enactment of the Act on Promotion of Resource Circulation for Plastics, Tokyo Marriott Hotel has decided to change its policy on providing in-room bathroom amenities to guests during their stay. Under the new policy, front desk staff will provide guests with only the amenity items they require during their stay. We request that guests bring their own bath items and toiletries from home to use during their stay.

Relevant bathroom amenities: Toothbrushes, shaving razors, hairbrushes, shower caps

Date of change: from February 1, 2023 onward

Furthermore, from June 1, 2023 onward, hairbrushes and shower caps will be sold rather than distributed for free. We feel it is important to reduce plastic waste in any way possible, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Frequent cleaning and disinfecting, with a special focus on high touch areas like elevator buttons and escalator handrails.
  • Frequent hand washing and disinfecting of work areas.
  • Hand sanitizing stations at the entrance, near the front desk, elevator banks and fitness and meeting spaces.
  • Signage throughout our hotel will remind guests to maintain social distancing with revised seating capacities in our restaurants and meeting spaces.
  • Mobile technology such as check in, mobile key, mobile requests for additional services for less contact
  • All associates wear a face mask when on duty.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are welcome to wear personal face coverings.
  • Room Amenities: Disinfectant wipes are available in the room for every arriving guest as well as upon request

Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. We will provide housekeeping cleaning services after your third night with us and while you are away from the room. If you’d like to receive additional daily cleaning, simply let our team know and we will gladly take care of it.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:
