Beyond its history, Haro is a world-renowned brand, home to seven centenary wineries, forming the largest concentration of wineries in the world. These wineries are centered around the railway station, the "golden mile" of La Rioja. Every year, top international tasters and journalists gather to sample two wines from each winery, representing the 20th and 21st centuries. The railway played a key role in the development of these wineries, which were built for efficient wine transportation. These wineries not only boost the economy but also host events like the Haro Wine Tourism Talent Meeting and the OMT World Wine Tourism Conference.
