Discover the Real Essence of the City

Founded over 700 years ago Warsaw has been the most vibrant location in Poland ever since. The city enlightens guests with two exceptional royal residences, enchanting Old Town, the 18th-century tenement houses and palaces along the Royal Route, and parks perfect for relaxing moments.

Entrance

Idyllically situated on the Royal Route in the heart of the city—surrounded by historic palaces, churches, and statues dating from the 16th century to the present—Hotel Bristol is nestled next to the National Museum, overlooking the Presidential Palace. It is also within walking distance of Warsaw's most renowned sights, such as the Old Town, Royal Castle, National Theater, and Opera House. The latter two are over 200 years old and continue to feature classical world-renowned works by top composers, including Beethoven, Bellini, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Puccini, Wagner, and more.

An authentic horse-drawn carriage ride or bike rental are memorable ways to see the city, including additional art galleries, epicurean restaurants, cafés, parks, gardens, and museums, like the Copernicus Science Center: the largest scientific institution of its kind in Europe. On Bracka Street, just 15 minutes from the hotel on foot, the high-end VITKAC department store houses international boutiques, including Gucci or Lanvin. Also within walking distance are a number of renowned nightclubs, including Opera, Platinum, and The Eve.

Culturally and historically inclined guests enjoy the city’s myriad tours, which comprise Wilanów Palace, the baroque residence of King John III Sobieski located is 12 kilometers away from the hotel. Tours to Zelazowa Wola, the birthplace and home of the composer Frederic Chopin, are also available. Located in a baroque-style castle, this multimedia museum invites visitors to fully experience the famous musician's complicated, inspired life.

Additionally, throughout the year, Warsaw hosts a number of festivals, including the Warsaw International Film Festival, Jazz on the Old Town festival, as well as additional jazz, Beethoven, and baroque music festivals—many of which take place just minutes from the hotel. Annually from June through September, guests can also enjoy Chopin concerts in the picturesque Royal Lazienki Park.

The official language of Warsaw is Polish, and the currency is the Polski Zloty (PLN). The electrical system is standard European 220 - 230 Volt. American electrical devices need a converter and an adaptor; both of which are available at the hotel.

General shopping hours are Monday to Saturday 11am to 9pm. On Sundays, the shops are open from 11am to 6pm. During the Christmas holidays, nearly all shops and restaurants are closed on December 25th and 26th.

The city welcomes the 21st century with outstanding new architecture and two modern airports offering direct connections with more than 135 international destinations and almost 50 countries in the world. Warsaw is not only Poland’s largest city but also a cultural and business heart of Central Europe where the influences of the West and the East meet and create a unique blend of tradition, culture, art and business. Alluring and inspiring, timeless and yet romantic, the city today is closer to the Western Europe than ever before, preserving its extraordinary atmosphere and the touch of historic grandeur.
