On September 15, 2021 the provincial government of Alberta and the province of Alberta's health authority, announced a series of new measures with a State of Public health emergency declaration. These were as follows:

Starting September 20, discretionary events and businesses must follow one of these 2 options:

  1. Implement the Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative rapid test result to continue operating as usual without restrictions, or
  2. Follow capacity and operating restrictions as outlined on www.alberta.ca/covid-19-public-health-actions.aspx As such, Delta Hotels by Marriott™ Edmonton Conference Center Suites will be implementation the Restrictions Exemption program, effective 12:01 AM on September 20, 2021

Businesses that implement the Restrictions Exemption Program can operate as usual with no restrictions if they only serve people who have:

  • Proof of vaccination
    • Single dose accepted between September 20 and October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service. Double doses are required after October 25. 
    • Valid proof of vaccination is identified as:
  • Original documentation from pharmacy or local health authority for in and out of province guests
  • An original print out of or the Alberta MyHealth Records mobile app
  • The Canadian Federal Government ArriveCAN mobile app
  • Official QR code mobile app from the Province of Alberta (Once available) or other provinces (If available)
  • All above must accompany a valid government issue photo ID
  • OR, Documentation of a medical exemption
  • OR, Proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed)

The hotel will be placing signage throughout the hotel indicating these policies.  Hotel staff will continue to wear appropriate PPE and the hotel will continue to keep in place physical barriers and other measures that have seen the hotel successfully execute numerous events.  Guests that are unable or unwilling to provide proof of vaccination or PCR test will not be permitted access to any areas of the hotel other than their guestroom, In Room Dining and areas required to navigate to their guestrooms.

For events, the hotel will be conducting verification at entry and will be instituting a wristband program at no additional cost to the client.  Events that wish to use a different method of verification may do so at their own cost and upon approval by the hotel.   

 

In keeping with Marriott’s Commitment to Clean, we have notice made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

Enhanced Public Space Cleaning. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and parking as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Staff members wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are asked to wear masks in all public areas. "Wear a Mask" signage are posted in all public areas and hotel entrances. Complimentary disposable masks are also available for our guests.

Electrostatic Spraying. It has been ordered waiting for delivery.

Room Amenities

In-room coffee makers are not currently available, but guests can request contactless coffee delivery
Disinfectant wipes are available for every arriving guest upon request
Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let us our guest services team know. We will be happy to make schedule service according to your preferences. Please note that if you are staying with us a bit longer, we will automatically clean your guest room after every 6th night.

  • Alberta Health Services have advised extremely restrictive limited capacity is now available for pools and Hot tubs.
  • Under sections 43 and 50 of the new Chief Medical Officer of Health Order: A single guest or household may use a hotel swimming pool or fitness center at a time.
  • Reservations can be made at the front desk for 45 minute blocks.
  • One reservation per stay for single guest / household.
  • These reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and reservations are not able to be made prior to guest check in.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Due to high Occupancy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday demand for the limited pool spots is extremely high. It is always our goal to offer exemplary services however space may not be available during weekend reservations

Pool and Fitness Centre: Temporarily closed.
Shuttle: Outside company. NO service till further notice.
GRAB & GO: Open. Masks required in the area.
Aurora Lounge: Temporarily closed.

  • Our Starbucks counter in 44o4 Restaurant is open and offers Starbucks coffee beverages and light breakfast delights The Starbucks counter is open from 6am to 10am on Monday to Friday and 7am to 11am on Saturday and Sunday.
  • 4404 is open for Breakfast (Monday - Friday 6am-9am + Saturday - Sunday 7am-10am)
