Reducing Environmental Impact

Our Actions

The hotel has an automated system (BMS CORPAC), which allows setting schedules and controlling the switching on, as well as programming the switching off of lighting and climate circuits, optimizing the use of these resources.

Awareness of food waste among associates through internal campaigns.

Thanks to Sheraton Miramar's internal policies, 132 kg of food waste was avoided in 2023, and to date, 148 kg in 2024.

Hotel waste is sent to sanitary treatment plants, which are managed appropriately.

Thanks to the grease collectors installed at specific points in the hotel, it is possible to prevent discarded grease from entering the sewage system and contaminating water.

Our recycling achievements:

In 2023, 2,045 kg of cardboard and cooking oil were recycled.

In 2024, figures of 4,415 kg of cardboard, 1,934 kg of cooking oil and 15,000 kg of glass were reached.

100% of the stationery products used on the property are FSC certified.

At Sheraton Miramar, 100% of the eggs come from free-range chickens, while 95% of the coffee consumed is obtained through responsible agricultural practices.

To reduce the use of plastics, the distribution of shampoo, soap and conditioner in small bottles has been eliminated, significantly reducing the use of plastic.
