17th Architecture Biennale | 29th August - 29th November 2020 (preview 27th - 28th August) 
One of the world’s most prestigious international architecture exhibitions, the 17th edition is curated by Hashim Sarkis.
46th Vogalonga | 30th May 2020
A popular regatta for all rowing lovers, Venetians and visitors. This non-competitive event follows a 30km course through the lagoon and Grand Canal.
International Boat Show | 3rd - 7th June 2020
Venice’s largest marine luxury, leisure and lifestyle event held in the Arsenale, the city’s historical shipyards and armory.
Festa del Redentore | 18th - 19th July 2020
The most popular event in the Venetian calendar. Instituted in 1576 this characteristic annual festival celebrates the end of a terrible plague. Fireworks illuminate St. Mark’s basin on the Saturday night amongst feasting and revelry.
77th Venice International Film Festival | 2nd - 12th September 2020
Organised by the Biennale of Venice and the oldest film festival in the world, the festival promotes international cinema in all its forms in a spirit of freedom and dialogue.
Venice Glass Week | 5th - 13th September 2020
An international festival dedicated to the art of glass, involving major institutions and celebrated artists with the aim of sustaining one of the city’s most important artistic activities.
Historical Regatta | 6th September 2020
A spectacular procession of decorated historic craft along the Grand Canal followed by competitive regattas, a trial of strength and skill for the city’s gondoliers and other expert rowers.
Homo Faber 10th September | 11th October 2020
An inspiring showcase of the finest craftsmanship with live demonstrations by master artisans and designers from all over Europe.
International Festival of Contemporary Music | 25th September - 4th October 2020
The 64th International Festival of Contemporary Music will showcase several daily events. Composer Ivan Fedele will direct the Music department.
7th Venice Hospitality Challenge | 17th October 2020
Officially recognized as the Grand Prix of Venice, this unique and annual event combines the nautical and sporting tradition of the Serenissima with the glamour of Venice. Ten maxi yachts compete in St. Mark’s Basin for the Challenge Trophy.
Festa Della Salute | 21st November 2020
A religious feast day instituted in 1630 celebrating the city’s miraculous delivery from the plague. A pontoon bridge is strung across the Grand Canal to the Madonna della Salute Basilica so Venetians may make the pilgrimage to pay homage to the Madonna and to light a candle asking her to keep them in good health.
Venice Carnival | 30th January – 16th February 2021
The most iconic event of Venice and the world’s oldest and most elegant carnival appreciated for the opulence of its costumes. Three weeks of celebrations, traditions and exclusive masked balls that take place throughout the city.
