Sustainability at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver
Sustainability is at our core, guiding every operation. We've implemented initiatives across the hotel, from energy efficiency to waste reduction and local sourcing. Together, we minimize our ecological footprint, shaping a sustainable future. Through partnerships, we lead responsible hospitality, inspiring others to join us. At JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, sustainability isn't just a commitment; it's our proud legacy.

Green Building
Sensor and water-conserving faucets are installed in all public restrooms, accompanied by energy-efficient lighting throughout the building. Light bulbs have been replaced with energy-efficient alternatives. Additionally, guests can inquire about electric vehicle charging for their cars through our Guest services, available for a nominal fee.

For a Greener Stay
JW Marriott Parq Vancouver's residential amenities have phased out individual soap, shampoo, and conditioner bottles in guestrooms. Guests benefit from a secure mobile key check-in system, reducing plastic key card waste. Guests can opt out of daily linen changes through our terry re-use program, conserving resources. Guest rooms feature water-saving showerheads and toilets, while offices use motion sensors and timed light switches for energy efficiency.

Green Spa
Spa by JW Vancouver is committed to fostering sustainability in its operations. From sourcing eco-friendly amenities to implementing energy-efficient practices, every aspect of the spa experience is thoughtfully designed to minimize environmental impact. The spa partners with sustainable vendors, prioritizing products and treatments that align with green initiatives. Spa by JW Vancouver is qualified member of Eminence's Green Spa Program.
Additionally, efforts are made to reduce waste through providing bamboo amenities that are sanitized and reused, sourced from Sustayne.

Greener Meeting
We lead eco-friendly initiatives in our community, particularly in facilitating greener meetings. Our kitchen composts all food scraps and donates surplus banquet food. We use digital menus, paperless e-billing, locally sourced ingredients, and 100% recycled notepads. Our banquet tables are linen-less, and we provide Vivreau water bottles at no extra cost in boardrooms and upon request in ballrooms to enhance waste reduction. For 'to go' items, we use bamboo or natural wood materials wherever possible, in line with the City of Vancouver's organic waste guidelines.
Greener Kitchen
Sustainability in the kitchen is vital, and even the simplest measures yield significant results. Through proactive measures, we've significantly reduced food waste and transformed our kitchen into a more sustainable operation. Our initiatives include meticulous tracking of food waste and empowering informed decisions on procurement, production, and portioning.
Furthermore, our culinary team prioritizes sourcing sustainable, local, and regional products. By focusing on these practices, we minimize the need for excessive packaging and reduce our overall environmental footprint.
