Will Meyer and Gray Davis' design signature is its own vernacular: Intelligent subtraction yields the greatest results. They transform a room to its maximum minimum, drawing from the belief that reduction permits the space to thrive and charges it with life. But as they attempted to apply the same ethos at W Rome, they found themselves defying their own philosophy.
Wanting to capture Rome's essence, they realized that subtracting features and nuances from the hotel would fail to sustain the Eternal City's timelessness and opulence. So they kept adding elements until Rome's history and culture were interwoven into the layers of modern design.
