Smoke
Smoke was in the room, called front desk, they ignored my call. I got sick from it. Hubby had to use breathing rescue!

Over priced for what you are getting
Room was dirty, smelly, the carpet was burnt by either a fire or cigarettes. Was over charged 50.00 more then was told when checking in. Bedding was not clean, was as if someone had just made the bed again after the slept in it. Hair and dirt on the sheets.

Great location
Friendly staff and great rooms with Lake Superior views. Shuttle service available to bring you to the canal park area, or easy to walk. I always stay at this location when in the area.

Staff is great - cleanliness is not
The hotel staff was great to interact with -- very pleasant and attentive. But the hotel room floors were disgusting (keep your shoes on) and the condition of the hair dryer was so gross I couldn't touch it -- I highly recommend bringing your own hair dryer.

Needs improvements.
This wasn't my first stay at the location. It seems to have gone downhill a bit since my last visit. The hallway carpets were really stained. The bedding (bedskirt and underlying comforter) were yellowed and dirty. The locking mechanism to the room door required it to be really slammed to be closed. The restaurant needs better staffing. Please review my in depth review.

Hotel needs updating
I had booked two rooms (a king and a double, both with a view of Lake Superior) for a wedding that my family and I were attending. The hotel was across the street from where the wedding was being held which made it extremely convenient.
When I checked in, the gal told me that both rooms were doubles, and not lake view. I told her that was unacceptable and that my reservation clearly showed a double and a king, both with lake view. With a managers help, she found a king for us, but it wasn't a lake view, so I had her change it again to a king with a lake view on the 3rd floor.
She then told me the double was on the 2nd floor and was on the "lake side". While standing in the lobby I looked out towards the lake and asked her if I would be able to see the lake through the buildings across the street? She then changed the double room to the 3rd floor.
She was a little flustered, but she finally got things right for us. You can see the lake from the 3rd floor, however if you would like a better view, I would suggest floors 4 and above.
The rooms are nice and quiet, beds are comfortable, though the rooms are definitely in serious need of updating.
The hallway carpeting was horrible. There were huge stains all up and down the hallways and it appeared as if there had been no attempt to remove them.
For a Sheraton, in my opinion, this is unacceptable.
Would I stay here again...I really don't know.
I spend 12+ weeks a year in hotels and I wasn't overly impressed with this hotel, especially for the price paid to what was received.
