convention at Marriott Harbourfront
excellent except for lunch on Saturday which was horrible. (plated lunch in the Ballroom for our conference). Food was old, no flavour, no sauce--everyone's the same at most of the tables.

So, why would a hotel make anyone feel Creative and Inspired? Seems a weird benchmark for a hotel to be working towards.

Fabulous location, convenient to everything
You can walk to pretty much everything from this hotel. Great views across the waterway from the hotel. Rooms are beginning to look a little dated, however they are very clean and beds are comfortable. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable

Fantastic property
You can't beat the location!! The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel has a very well laid out , beautifully furnished. The access to the Historic Properties is wonderful and everything is within walking distance. I was there for a conference and started every morning with a walk along the waterfront.

Lots of problems
Attended a conference at this hotel. We had had check-in and check-out issues at conferences in this hotel in prior years so before we left we obtained specific instructions on the process to follow to avoid a repeat of the problems. Unfortunately, the hotel employee who gave us those instructions was not at the front desk. As briefly as I can describe here are some of the problems that we encountered again this year. Check in for staff was difficult. Getting a folio for the rooms occupied by my staff but paid on my Visa was very difficult. Front desk staff would not replace my staffs demagnetized key card even though there names were on the room. I guess the hotels plan was for them to sleep in the hallway. My staff were upset because they put a hold on their Visa (remember I was paying room, parking and taxes) of $500 for incidentals after specifically telling my staff the hold would only be $100. Food and beverage ran out of food on the Christmas buffet. No baked ham left. No turkey left. (PS, this has happened in a prior year to our group as well.) I still like meat so this was very disappointing. I will try to have the conference relocated and if you have any input into the location of a conference your group is planning I would really advise checking into the issues I have described here and considering another location.

My children and myself enjoyed this stay. The staff were polite and the facilities were nice for a relaxed weekend.
