The very best skiing and snowboarding in Ontario is just steps from The Westin Trillium House, Blue Mountain. Let our staff guide you to an array of other winter sports and activities.

Exterior

Blue Mountain is the largest ski resort in Ontario with 364 acres of skiable terrain including 42 day trails and 30 night skiing/snowboarding trails, half pipe and terrain park. From beginners' slopes to expert black diamond runs, Blue Mountain is as challenging or relaxing, as you want it to be. The beautiful trails are groomed nightly and are covered by the largest snowmaking system in Canada. You'll also find 15 lifts and two fully equipped rental centres conveniently located at Grand Central Lodge and the South Base Lodge.

Sharpen your skates and cruise on our 1.1km ice skating loop while enjoying extraordinary views along the Niagara Escarpment. 

Experience the thrills of downhill skiing or snowboarding - without all the work. Sail downhill by tube. This activity is great for riders as young as three and is the perfect cold weather activity for every age and level of ability.

On your Blue Mountain escape experience the Ridge Runner, Ontario's first mountain coaster. This new downhill adventure whisks guests through the beautiful Niagara Escarpment offering enchanting views of the Georgian Bay. Create lasting memories as you zigzag alone or with a partner at speeds of up to 42 km/hour.

Treat the kids to a Village tour on our Horse & Wagon rides. Running every weekend all winter long meet outside M.J. Byrne’s Irish Pub in the centre of the Village. Be sure to bundle up, grab a hot drink and enjoy the sights and sounds of winter in the Village.

Join in Canada’s fastest growing sport and try snowshoeing with a Guide. Available every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30AM at the main Columbia store in the Village Plaza (adult store not the kids store). Please come a few minutes early ready to move (water bottle and layered clothing suggested). Rentals are also available at Activity Central located in the Guest Services building at the base of Blue Mountain (main Village entrance).

Weekends 10:30AM – approximate hike time is 1.5hours at a gentle pace.

Discover breathtaking cross-country ski and snowshoe trails that meander through a quiet forest of sugar maples, beeches and oaks high atop the Niagara. For the best experience, we recommend Scenic Caves Nordic Centre, who provide a new meaning to winter nature adventures. Nowhere else in Ontario can you snowshoe or hike across Southern Ontario's Longest Suspension Footbridge or traverse a breathtaking 130-metre hike across a narrow bridge, 300 meters above Georgian Bay.

An Authentic Nature Spa, This multiple award-winning Ontario Spa offers the renowned Scandinavian Baths experience. Nestled in a natural forest, minutes from downtown Collingwood, Blue Mountain Resort and the fresh water of Georgian Bay, the Spa is open all year from 10AM-9PM for adults 19+ yrs. old. Guests enjoy the escape from their every day world and enter into the serenity of the natural outdoor environment. The renowned Scandinavian Baths include a Finnish Sauna, Eucalyptus Steam Room, Thermal & Nordic Waterfalls, Hot Baths, Cold Plunges & relaxation areas. Spring & Summer Activities

Blue Mountain is a year-round destination. Each weekend, Blue Mountain Village has special events and festivals organized for families to enjoy and take part in. Experience all that Blue Mountain has to offer in the spring or summer, from mountain biking to embarking on an exhilarating treetop walk and zip line.

The Natural High experience at Blue Mountain just got higher. Soar through the sky as you virtually fly between platforms reaching heights of up to 50ft at speeds of up to 50km/hr. The Wind Rider Zip line has three parallel lines that allow you and two friends to fly between platforms simultaneously.

On your Blue Mountain escape experience the Ridge Runner Ontario's first mountain coaster. This downhill adventure whisks guests through the beautiful Niagara Escarpment offering enchanting views of the Georgian Bay. Create lasting memories as you zigzag alone or with a partner at speeds of up to 42 km/hour.

Take a scenic ride to the top of the Escarpment. Located at the opening to the Village Events Plaza, the gondola is available for pedestrian and and is suitable for all ages.

Nestled between the shores of Georgian Bay and the heights of the Niagara Escarpment is Plunge! Aquatic Centre. Plunge! is the ultimate, all ages, four season water adventure at the base of Blue Mountain. Inspired from the tradition of cottage-style boathouses, Plunge! is an authentic and magical expression of a place and its people. Indoor-outdoor pools, indoor water playground, hot tubs, rope swings, docks and slides are sure to provide year-round fun. Or, if you prefer, simply watch all the action from the comfort of your dock chair. Plunge! has something for everyone infant to senior.

This challenging, but fun 18 hole, par 67 Putting Course is located just steps from the Village and winds along the base of the Smart Alec ski run. Featuring a natural limestone backdrop and cascading landscapes, the Cascade Putting Course is sure to provide lasting memories for guests of all ages.

Timber Challenge High Ropes: Explore new heights on an elevated ropes challenge course consisting of seven courses, suited to three progressive difficulty levels. Push your limits. Each course presents a unique challenge, spanning between trees at various heights off the ground.

Woodlot Low Ropes: All ages and ability levels will enjoy tackling each element using a variety of suspended logs, beams, ropes, cables and cargo nets.

Looking for a scenic experience that’s off the beaten path? Not your typical 2-wheeled attraction, this guided tour takes you on an off-road trek along the top of the Niagara Escarpment. Share the adventure with your friends, family or group during your next visit to Blue Mountain. Discounted tickets are available to lodging guests.

Explore the trails of scenic Blue Mountain within walking distance from the resort. Discover an escarpment full of hiking trails that offer varying levels of difficulty ranging from rugged to relaxing. Take a short hike for scenery or a long one for stamina. 

Choose from a relaxing cruise around the resort or purchase a ticket to access our cross-country mountain bike trails. Bike rentals are availble for the whole family to create the ultimate day on two wheels. 

Summer is the perfect time to take advantage of Blue Mountain's private beach, on the shores of the Georgian Bay. Located only ten minutes away, splash, step on soft sand, kayak or take a paddleboat. The possibilities are endless.

Enjoy fantastic golf at one of Ontario's most popular and recognized golf courses. Monterra has proven to be a formidable challenge for golfers from North America and abroad. A traditional links course, Monterra features rolling bent grass fairways, razorback mounding and 86 bunkers, as well as ravines, creeks, seven lakes, and some spectacular elevated tee shots. In addition to the championship course, Monterra offers a full-service golf shop, deli and bar, a practice area and an on-course sanctuary at the 5th and 10th tees.

Grab your gear, gather your friends, and enjoy a great game of tennis at The Courts, Monterra's year-round indoor tennis facility. Featuring four new decoturf cushioned courts and new change room & shower facilities, Monterra's update is sure to please tennis-lovers of all ages.

Treat the kids to the Village Scavenger hunt or the more adventurous mountain hike, hunt and gondola ride. Just pick up your clue list at Activity Central in the clock tower building near the gondola, or at the Visitor Information Centre near Starbucks.

Catch up on fun as you scramble from tree to tree high above the forest floor. Suspended rope nets, slides, treehouses and watch tower provide the perfect setting for the tree fort of your dreams.

Climbers of all ages and ability will find their route at this incredible outdoor climbing centre consisting of eight courses, each with multiple routes of different difficulty. Each course features an auto belay, so you are always in control. Challenge your friends and family to a speed climb, or see who can master the most difficult route.

Stop in and explore the new look Coca-Cola Mill Pond Activity Centre and take an aqua tour by Water Trike. These massive bicycles will have you pedaling your way across the pond in no time.
